Artifacts are unlockable items that can be equipped to your overlord to provide bonus effects. There are three types of artifacts: Cloaks, Scepters, and Crowns, and only one of each may be equipped at a time. Each empire has their own set of artifacts that can not be used by the others. Unlocked artifacts reset after each campaign.
